Performing Arts

The vibrant music curriculum at Roslyn Primary School offers a developmental music program for all year levels. The aim of our program is to give students the opportunity to be imaginative and creative through music while developing musical skills such as learning how to read musical notes while playing an instrument, or singing a song. All students have the opportunity to play on our extensive range of classroom instruments including a large range of percussion instruments, marimbas and ukuleles. It is through the experiences of playing, listening, creating, and appreciating music, that our students develop and learn for life.

Our senior students have the opportunity to join a lunchtime marimba group. This group is provided with the chance to share their talents within the school community and through local festivals and other community events.

Every year all students come together for our ‘Carols on the Court’ night, performing festive favourites in front of the whole school community.  The bi-annual ‘Family Dance’ is another favourite community event providing our students an opportunity to perform.
